CAST LIST
Anthony D'Arcy
Anthony D'Arcy is an MBA stock trader and real estate investor whose penchant for free stuff has earned him a reputation as one of Toronto's top freecyclers. His love for all things free was born when he bought his first house, which he completely rewired, re-plumbed, decorated and furnished with materials pulled right out the trash. It's been a love affair with all things free, that's permeated every aspect of his life, making him not only a top freecycler, but also one of this country's biggest cheapskates!
Gordie Wornoff
Gordie is a freecycler who doesn't salvage because it's cool, he salvages because it's his way of life. He spends his days as a carpenter, repurposing old lumber into new projects, and spends his nights as a freegan, searching the city's dumpsters for food that can still be eaten. Gordie can breathe life into any abandoned item, and a look around his house bears witness to that: He's got a chandelier made from roadkill deer bones over his dining room table, and after a hard day's work, he relaxes in the chairs that he constructed - from old shopping carts.
Geoff Woodmansey
Geoff is the owner/operator of GPW Construction. With over 25 years of residential construction experience that ranges from new home building to extensive additions and renovations in some of Toronto's most exclusive neighborhoods, Geoff brings a wealth of knowledge to his role.
Michelle Mawby
Michelle is a high end interior designer who admits that yes her business is wasteful, but yet she does nothing to counter her industry's wasteful ways. She has no problem tearing out perfectly good new material to make way for what she considers even better and newer design. She has swish taste and a matching sense of style, and won't settle for anything less.
Cam Pikul
Cam is the crew's go to guy for construction, a guy who's made his millions building upscale restaurants that he runs with his wife. He's an opinionated guy who call things as he sees them, and doesn't suffer fools gladly. Cam makes no apologies for being a big waster.
Jean-Marc Haddad
Jean-Marc is a home tech specialist who eats and breathes technology. He sells and installs the latest and greatest in gadgets and gizmos from the electronics store that he co-owns. It's a business that thrives on obsolescence: discarding perfectly good, older electronics, in favour of the latest and greatest. And it's something that Jean-Marc is only too happy to do.
Ross Werry
Ross is a garbage collector from Fish Creek Provincial Park in Calgary, Alberta. In his work, he's seen all sorts of stuff get tossed away in the trash. Perfectly good stuff getting thrown out, all the time. He's the team's labourer and workhorse who is finally getting a chance to take stuff out of the trash, rather then just haul it away.
